Frequently Asked Questions

Got a question? Check below to see if yours has been answered.

1. How long has Mastercraft been around?
Mastercraft as the quality kitchen brand that it is today was formed back in 1986, but with the beautifully diverse skills and experience of the Mastercraft Group, some of our locations have been manufacturing custom joinery for well over 40 years.

2. What guarantee is there on kitchens and cabinetry? Mastercraft provide an ‘Exclusive Transferable Ten Year Guarantee’ that includes all Cabinetry, Bench Tops, Sinks, Hardware, and Product Installation, from the date of installation. Ask in store for full terms and conditions.

3. What is the timeframe for a kitchen? Because we custom make each and every piece of kitchen cabinetry locally, and have to source different hardware and materials based on your needs, we expect your kitchen to be installed in approximately six to eight weeks upon acceptance of full working drawings. This may vary from location to location.

4. Is there a brochure or catalogue of prices available? You can request a brochure to be sent to you via our Contact or Visit Us page, however we do not have a price-list for you as every kitchen is unique and is not 'off-the-shelf' like kit-set kitchens are. Come in and see us with your plan and we can quote your kitchen based on your requirements.

5. Who designs, who manufactures, who installs? We do the lot! We have qualified and experienced Design Consultants that will design your kitchen to your requirements. This is then produced in your local Mastercraft manufacturing plant, and installed by one of Mastercraft's skilled and qualified installers.

6. How do we visualise a new design? Using our state-of-the-art CAD design software, we can create realistic 3D renderings to accompany your floor plan and elevations.

7. What are the payment methods and terms? The majority of our branches accept Eftpos, credit card (MasterCard and Visa), internet banking, cash, and cheque. We may also be able to arrange finance for you. Standard payment terms (unless otherwise stated) require a 50% initial deposit on signing of the Sale and Purchase agreement, with a second 45% one week prior to agreed delivery date, and the final 5% after installation has been completed.

8. What about appliances? To stay focused on our core competencies, and provide you with the best possible service, Mastercraft tends not to directly sell appliances, but can refer you to our recommended appliance suppliers.

9. Why are you a NKBA member? NKBA members have expertise and knowledge in design, manufacture and installation. They have up-to-date knowledge of the latest products and the latest building and renovation regulations, so they'll be no nasty surprises after your project is complete if you deal with Mastercraft.

10. What's all this about Future Proof Building? The Mastercraft group are proud FPB members because we care about each and every job we do. We aim to design your new kitchen as an investment, a long-lasting high quality area of your home, with the help of the eight FPB principles; energy efficiency, building health and safety, resource responsibility, space management, lifecycle costing, sound and quality control and security and automation.
